A Cobble-Stone Street in Brooklyn, New York?
Walking around Brooklyn New York I found this cobble-stone street with a trolley rails running along. It brings back memories of the past, a past that most of us have never see……Only to leave it up to our imagination!
That’s a great photo!
Thank U Dan!!
Wow!! I live in Brooklyn. I must go see this. Can you tell me exactly where in Brooklyn you discovered this great find?
This is by the Brooklyn Bridge. I have a few more that I photographed and posted by the Brooklyn Bridge, here is a link to that post https://asnappshot.wordpress.com/2013/11/27/brooklyn-bridge/
Nice! The hint of reflection in that puddle is tantalizing.
Yes I agree in fact I have one with just the puddle. May be I should have posted that…..
Post it too! Would love to see it.
You can click on the -Brooklyn tag- I will also send you the link

Tell me what you think.
Very nicely done. I love how the cobblestones frame the scene. I left a comment on the post, too.
Thanks so much I really appreciate it. I have lots of stuff covering New York City.
That’s very cool!!
I thought the same when I saw it. Thanks for your comments.
Fabulous shot! Would never imagine it is NY!
That is New York for you, if you know how to find it. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Amazing shot.
Thanks for your comments, There are a few streets even in Manhattan that has cobble stones. Nice to have them, at least to imagine how life was once upon a time.
Beautiful. Makes me miss living closer to the city.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I think I have the best of both worlds, to get to the city I just hop on the train and I’m in a very busy vibrant place and when I need the quite relaxed feeling, its home far away from all the noise.
I miss that.
Magnificent capture of the old Brookly street! Love it. 🙂
Thank you so much Amy.
Reminds me not to wear hills in Brooklyn! haha Great photo.
Very true, would be tough walking in them.
Spike heels beware.
Lovely clicks!! Exactly like you described…..the road looks out of those never ending lanes from Oz 🙂
What a description….I just LOVE IT !!
Thanks a lot!! Words automatically form to describe such a beautiful pic!! 🙂
Thanks “:O)”!!!
You are welcome!! 🙂
Interesting post! I like how you leave your readers to imagine about the street and the trails.
Pictures make you imagine, it is nice to see how others visualize about your pictures. Thanks for stopping by!!
what a great capture. am enjoying the mood here. thanks for sharing.
You are most welcome, after all the pleasure is mine to share.
I should invite you to visit more often and please share your thoughts. Thanks for wonderful thoughts above all.
I missed this…as I was in bad wi-fi zone, and no longer chilling, I think.
My own street in Lancashire, England used to be cobbled but it’s since been tarred over. Thanks for bringing back memories!
You are very welcome, thanks for visiting.
That’s quite the find. Cobblestone streets are practically non-existent in Canada now. I’d love to shoot an old urban area that still has them.
As a matter of fact there are several streets in Manhattan that have cobblestones. Small segments of Manhattan and Brooklyn still have kept the building and roads to preserve the past.
